We celebrate the birthdays of our church family members on the second sunday of each month. Please join us, especially if you have a birthday during the month.
We have the opportunity to become a "prayer pal" with someone in our church.
Each person will be given a prayer request to fill out. Later everyone will draw a name of a "pal" to pray with for the following month.
Look in your Sunday program on the third Sunday of the month for a sticker. The person who receives the program with the sticker will make arrangements with Dona to meet for lunch. This gives the person and Dona an opportunity to visit and get to know each other.
Are you ready for a blessing? God does not shut one door without pointing us to another door waiting for us to open and walk through. Often we miss the opportunity because we turn our backs on the new door and stand grieving the past and our bad fortune.
Remember the POWER OF LOVE as love has not gone just because someone or something failed to work out. The instruction is “come ye apart and rest a while”. Give yourself time to adjust, to get ready for change. Believe in yourself and the POWER WITHIN.
The Master Teacher lived a very simple life walking the dusty roads to help a wondering son, a shepherd seeking out the lost sheep, or a woman freed from yeas of suffering. Learn to trust the Spirit within as you are led out of the complications of life to live according to a higher plan.
You are no longer a prodigal running away from life, but one returned to “The Father’s House” to experience abundance, peace and wholeness. Let us prosper as we surrender to the “inner voice” and return from the far country.
Our affirmation is “God in the midst of me is mighty. Spirit guides and governs the thoughts of my mind, the feelings of my heart and establishes joy, health and abundance in my life and world”.
Bring in your faith banks so we can bless them. You may pick up another one in the Narthex.

We will be accepting cans of pet food to be donated to local animal shelters. And of course Nancy Redilla will be making her special pet goodies again for our four-legged family members.

Yes, it is that time again. It's time to do the autumn cleaning, take out the window air conditioners to store them, and generally get the church ready for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and all the holidays coming our way. So, come in your grubbies on this particular Sunday.
The board will provide lunch for those working. (That's the soup part!) Sign up sheets will be in the Narthex, of course. The board members need to know how many to feed.

Unity World Day of Prayer with Two Services
Thursday, September 9, 2010
Please join us as we pray with thousands around the globe during Unity Church's 17th annual World Day of Prayer. This year is a double blessing as WDOP coincides with Silent Unity's 120th anniversary! Silent Unity has been there for us for 120 years, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. On this day we make a conscious choice to do our part in praying with our entire human family.
Unity School's theme this year is: "Living in the Flow." Our affirmation this year (from Eric Butterworth) is: "You are in the ceaseless flow of transcendent life."
You can be part of this inspirational day, through our church, in 2 ways.
- First, be sure to stop by the church with your Prayer List. This is a list of names that you would like us to read aloud during our daytime prayer vigil which will begin at 11:00 and end when ALL names have been read and prayed over. This list can be written on any kind of paper (we do have slips available at the church). Please be reminded we do not need the reason for the request. We trust in God and His awareness of what is needed for every soul. You do not need to attend the 11:00 reading for your list to be read; however, if you would like to join us, ALL are welcome.
- Second, at 7:00 pm we will have a special Unity World Day of Prayer service that will consist of a sermonette and a guided meditation. Danielle Boes will facilitate both services.
