Membership Requirements

To become a member of Unity Church of Rochester, the requirements are as follows:

• attain the legal age of eighteen years,
• attend the Orienting Class,
• be a student of Truth and have been an active participant and supported Unity Church of Rochester for the six months prior to applying,
• fill out and submit an application form,
• be approved by the board of trustees,
• receive Spiritual Baptism.

The membership Orienting Class is held approximately every six months. It will be announced from the pulpit, in the programs, and here on the Website.

After the board of trustees votes on new membership applications, there will be an induction ceremony for the new members at a Sunday service where the new members are blessed with words and music by Dona and our congregation.

Membership allows one to:

• vote at all business meetings including the annual meetings,
• run for the board and, if elected or appointed, serve on the board of trustees,
• receive discounted rates on all weddings, christenings, memorials and any special services performed for you, and
• receive discounted rates on the use of the building for any of the ceremonies listed above.
